  • Qasigiannguit
Qasigiannquit offers a unique insight into everyday life in Greenland hundreds of years ago. It is home to the Living Settlement Project which sees museum volunteers work throughout the year to re-gain and perfect the skills their ancestors used to survive Greenland’s harsh climate. These traditions are then brought to life in summertime exhibitions and re-enactments that are the focus of the otherwise modern town.

  • Aasiaat/Kangaatsiaq
In the morning we reach the village of Aasiaat. Here you have the opportunity to try local specialties (optional) like seal or musk oxen and you can explore the small town, which is characterized by local artists and galleries, on a city walk (optional). Later that day, we reach Kangaatsiaq, the smallest town in Greenland. To the east of Kangaatsiaq, a 150 km long fjord system comprises countless islands, inlets and bays. These sheltered waters are perfect for exploring by Zodiac. Whether on the water or on land, keep an eye out for the numerous wild animals in the region. Reindeer, Arctic foxes, arctic hares and many different bird species can be found in the hinterland of Kangaatsiaq.
  • Greenlandic food tasting
Food is always a big part of a country’s culture; Greenland has the purest and most organic ingredients. The food comes from the icy polar sea and the mountain landscapes. You can try local specialties. The tasting depends on what has been caught and is available at that time, like a variety of fish, maybe musk ox, seal or other delicacies. However, it will definitely be an exclusive tasting of local specialties you will probably never experience again.
