Cornelius is one of the best seafood restaurants in Norway and the food here is truly unforgettable. The restaurant is located right on the seashore on a small island, offering a magnificent view of the fjord, mountains, boats and ships passing by. A tour boat will take you to the restaurant from Bergen and back.

All dishes are prepared using innovative culinary techniques and with a genuine passion for seafood. The restaurant offers a concept called the "Meteorological Menu": dishes are selected daily by the chef depending on the weather and what local fishermen have caught.

You can choose a regular menu or a shellfish menu.
The shellfish menu (last photo) is suitable for those who like shellfish more than fish. The dish may include hand-picked mahogany clams, mussels, local Norwegian flat oysters, scallops and sea urchins. A specialty of the house is a soup made from coastal crabs as an appetizer. The main course may include shrimp, mussels, lobster and Norwegian brown crab. A seasonal dessert is served at the end.

The Fløibanen funicular in Bergen is one of the most famous landmarks in Norway. The lower station of the funicular is located in the center of Bergen, 150 meters from the Fisketorget fish market and the Bruggen pier. It takes about 5-8 minutes to get to the top of Mount Vleien (320 meters above sea level).

There is only one street that breaks out of this range - Kolorova Street. This is done because Norway rarely has sunny days. This touch creates a completely unique, festive flavor and makes Stavanger even more recognizable. Of course, there are also modern buildings here - a fish market, hotels, cafes and restaurants. But still, the narrow streets in the city center with a long history are something special. Most tourists come here to see them.
